Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga
Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is a style of Yoga that follows set sequences to ultimately lay the foundation for the realisation of the 8 Limbs of Yoga. While at the beginning for most it is a physical practice that develops strength, stamina and mobility, Ashtanga is essentially a tool that unifies the body, mind and spirit.
Ashtanga Yoga is a breath-centric practice which means you learn how to align your breath to your movement, over time developing many positive attributes such as discipline, concentration and patience.
Mysore
Style
In this method students learn from an experienced teacher through a Mysore style practice : a supervised self-guided practice. The Mysore method allows practitioners to learn the sequence one posture at a time, ensuring each practitioner learns at their own tempo and in line with their abilities and needs. The teacher provides support and guidance, particularly so in the beginning phases of learning.
The Mysore style practice allows beginners and experienced practitioners to independently practice next to each other, sharing the space for mutual motivation, growth and love of practice.
